1/12/12 My New Ray-Bans!

I adore my new RayBan glasses! I've been looking for over-sized glasses for over 3 months! Finally, I decided on classic thick rimmed RayBans. Before getting these glasses I would wear contacts with fake glasses because I loved the look. Today was my second day wearing them with my prescription in them! It was exciting being able to see the world through these babies. I felt like my new glasses deserved a cute unique ensemble. Along with my wayfarer's I'm rocking a little black dress that I thrifted, a grey cape with black rimmed edges, also thrifted, a skeleton fish from Buffalo Exchange, opaque maroon tights, and my favorite shoes at the moment, my black suede wedges from Target. <3

1/10/12 A Day at School

This is an outfit I wore last week at school. Chris, our friend, and I have been walking around with ukuleles at school since before winter break. It has been fun learning songs that I know my boyfriend likes, then playing it to him. I'm holding his Great Grandfather's ukulele from the 70's. The bottom of the fretboard has a beautiful curve that gives away when it was made. It has a beautiful rich sound. In these pictures, I'm wearing a thrifted $1 H&M beige sweater, H&M mid-waisted black jeans, black Converse, my favorite eyeball ring I got off of etsy, a bullet necklace my dad gave to me, and an old bike chain bracelet that I found in my garage about six years ago. OH! Today I just got my new prescription Ray-Ban wayfarer glasses. Can't wait to wear them tomorrow. I'll take pictures. <3

1/8/12 Outfit of the Day! Rolling rhineStone

Another day, another outfit. ;) I threw this little ensemble together last night after discovering that you can wear thigh high socks over tights! Who knew?! Anyway I never really cared to wear this black top that flares out at the bottom but I thought it looked really cute with some shorts and tights. I'll find some new ways to wear the shirt since today was a hit. Then, to add some style, I slipped on this vintage beaded vest(use to be a tee) with tassels and red rhinestones that I got in LA. To emphasize the rinestones, I put on a bold statement red rhinestone ring that I won in a fake jewlery vending machine when I was little. I'm also wearing a beanie I crocheted(is that crochet in past tense?...) when I was a lil freshman. <3

1/8/12 Art Show

        Last night my boyfriend's family invited me to go with them to Glenn Kaino's(bf uncle) art showcase in Culver City LA hosted by Honor Fraser's gallery. Chris has shown me a few pictures of his uncle's art in magazines before so I kind of anticipated some unusual pieces. It was interesting to think that he throws together all these pieces, puts them on display, and actually go out there and sell them. I saw him explaining to a group of people his work and I thought you must be a really good salesman to get all this publicity and earn a living from it.
        This was the first time I've gone to an art gallery other than the community art exhibit near my house. It was pretty stressful because there were so many people...and dogs haha. I love dogs. :) But I get pretty anxious when there are people trying to walk here, then there, and taking pictures of the art over my shoulder so I didn't really take any pictures with my camera. Chris, on the other hand, had his camera around his neck and took a good amount of lovely photos from last night. So as soon as he emails me the pictures I'll post them up.
        Chris is wearing transparent wayfarer glasses, a plaid shirt, Sovereign Code bow tie, Sabit varsity jacket, blue jeans, and Mario Nike's. I'm wearing my sisters gold colored necklace, Renuar white dress and sheer top that she got in Israel, a pin striped grey blazer, over the knee heather grey socks from Target, Mossimo suede wedges.

Oh! And we saw Lisa Edelstein (Cuddy from House) there! She had gorgeous baby blue eyes and she was much shorter than I expected. But AH! I LOVE HOUSE!
