1/30/12 My Eyeball Ring

Photo by KimsJewels edited by me.
You may have seen this charming thing on my finger in past posts. It is unique from any other ring people wear and I get lots of compliments on it at school. When I wear it makes me feel good. It is also the same color as my eyes so it is like I have a third eye haha. Anyway, I thought I should dedicate a post to this ring because I adore it. I bought it off of Etsy from the link above. <3

1/29/12 Anniversary

On the 25th, my boyfriend and I had our one year anniversary together. It is crazy that we have been going out with each other for a year already. A year ago I gave him his first kiss in the park, we walked around and star gazed in a field and he lent me his jacket. It was a year ago that I held his hand because I told him they were cold as we walked across the street. The funny thing is that when he asked me out to lunch for the first time I thought we would just make good friends. But now I'm in love with him and we are best friends. Happy Anniversary Chris. I love you. <3
P.S. I'm dig your swag Ray-Ban shades as always.

1/28/12 Jeffrey Campbell Obsession

I've been obsessing over Jeffrey Campbell shoes for about a month now. I especially love the Litas as you can tell because I have three different versions above. They are so cute and give you that extra height, which is good for me because I'm only 5'4. Why is 5'4 considered short anyway? It is an average height, I mean I have friends who are 4'8. But I do wish I was taller so these are my dream shoes. They go for about 160-ish dollars which is a little too pricey for me right now so I'm planning on buying a pair of shoes somewhat similar to these. Hopefully sometime soon I can buy a pair of these beauties. <3

1/27/12 My DRESS

 Dress by Me
Model: Joy Dohee Han
Photography: Me
Mossimo Suede Wedges
Textured Tights gift from my Aunt
Opal bracelets my Dad got in the Phillipines
Fish charm from Buffalo Exchange
Yes! This dress is my baby! I produced it in just a day! I needed a dress with some pictures for my college portfolio requirement and this is what I turned out. The black section is felted wool while the grey is a recycled polyester felt. I am proud of this dress. And of course I had a beautiful model to photograph it on! Thank you Joy! <3

1/24/12 Debate Day!

In Political Economy today, our group rocked our debate on Pro Gun Control. We spat fire! The Gun Control debate was one of the most intense debates out of our entire class because both groups were feisty. I was so into the subject today that I felt like I was on the border line mean. But it was so fun. Our group dressed for success. This is what I wore for my debate; a sophisticated black Cynthia Steffe blazer with a white and brown polka dot lining and over sized black buttons, a thrifted black dress, opaque black tights, and Mossimo suede wedges. Today, I also took a photo shoot with my friend Joy. She is wearing a dress I made so look out for that!

1/23/12 Daring Journey

This was the second time I've ever worn these pleather pants. The first time was for a Halloween costume... But I felt daring today so I paired these pleather pants from Forever 21 with a creamy sheer blouse for contrast. I made these transparent acrylic rings and fortunate thing happened with the silver swirl ring. Two years ago, I had actually lost this ring in the band room after playing my flute for a little while. About 3 months earlier I bought it from a vender on the beaches Mexico during winter break down there. Well, today during Wind Ensemble I noticed that one of the flute players had on the ring. I was hesitant to ask but at the end of class I asked her where she got her ring. She told me about how she found it while I grew an apologetic, painful grimace. Immediately, she asked if it was mine and I nodded. It was so kind of her to give it back. I felt so bad taking it back. So thank you! I missed this ring so much! Thanks again! :)

1/21/12 Museum Part 2 w/ Quick Photo Shoot

Quick Photo Shoot after lunch:

My bf, a natural model. haha
Before we went to the La Brea tar pits, we stopped and ate some soup kitchen. The parking lot had this amazing picture on the wall behind us of a man covering his face with his hands and just one of his eyes peaking out. Immediately Chris and I knew we had to take pictures in front of it. I'm wearing his leather and wool varsity jacket, a teal cardigan from old navy, black jeans from papaya, a pink v-neck from target, Ray-Ban wayfarers, and Converse. Chris is wearing(from what I can recognize) Creative Recreation low tops, Volcom color block cardigan, friendship bracelets, and a glossy black g-shock. (Right now, I'm listening to Girls Just Want To Have Fun-Cyndi Lauper)
La Brea Tar Pits
 Tar!

 Brothers :)
I made him the wooden bead bracelet and the purple, red, and blue friendship bracelet.

Exhibit of 404 Dire Wolf skulls out of 1,600 found in the tar.
The last time I was at the tar pits was probably when I was 6 with my dad. It was fun to see it the enormous tar pits again and actually retain the information. So many animals got stuck in the tar. It kind of makes me laugh that so many dire wolfs got trapped in the tar because you'd think they would learn to stop trying to get an easy lunch by reaching for the animals already stuck. Anyway, this was a great day. We went to two amazing museums and I got to spend time with my boyfriend and his family.

1/17/12 Museum Weekend! Part 1

This is the first thing you saw as you walked into the Natural History Museum in LA!
I was astounded by the fact that these were real bones from creatures that once lived on this planet.

Look at the Dino's tiny little arms!
Chris posing like a swag boss.

Chris and I goofing around with the statues.

The Beautiful Gems inside a Vault at the Museum:
I couldn't capture the gorgeous green/turquoise color of this emerald on my camera.

Mmmm! Looks like jello! :3 Yummy!
 Texture and mustard.
I wish I could have taken pictures of every geological formation but the Gems and Minerals room was massive and Chris's grandparents were waiting on us. There was also lots of taxidermy displayed but I felt that would be kind of sad to post. The dinosaur bones left me dumbfounded. I'm still shocked that animals with bones bigger than my body walked our Earth. Nature never ceases to amaze me. <3

We also went to the La Brea tar pits that day, so I'll post those pictures soon along with some fashion shots we took right after lunch. :)
